Positive: This place is awesome. It's so cute and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend and would stay again. The staff was very helpful and responsive. Negative: The bed could use a mattress topper - it's very firm.

I loved my stay at The 1888 Hotel. It was a mother daughter get away. We wanted to stay in the downtown area. It could h Positive: What a wonderful find. I was in St. Petersburg with my daughter and I loved the separate optional entrances the rooms had. We both had our own separate bedrooms. Very roomy and cozy. The living room and kitchenette were adorable. The jack and Jill bathroom was spacious. Negative: The parking was a little off ways but not too bad.

Overall decent. Comfortable beds. Terrible service. Positive: Location. Cleanliness. Foam mattresses. Lots of fluffy pillows. Quality coffee pods. Nice kitchen. Negative: Sink so small you cannot wash hands without water flaking down your elbows onto the floor. Not enough sugar, creamer and coffee for 6 people even though room holds 6 people. Not enough Body wash, shampoo and conditioner for 4 people, let alone 6 when we are paying for 6. Too many texts and phone calls from the hotel people non stop before and during stay. Instead of calling, why don’t you make sure we are fully stocked on bathroom soaps etc. I don’t want to spend my entire vacation talking to hotel reps, I’d like to focus on my family instead. Also, they say it is family run, but the people calling all sound like they are from China and not aware of us not wanting to be bothered every 2 hours with the same information. Also, would be nice if you had a directory of all the closest restaurants close by we can go to and order from so we don’t have to google it. Also, a courtesy drink for each person in fridge would be nice like the other boutique hotels we usually stay at near by. Also, they wanted to charge me $100 for an earlier check in and another $100 charge for a late check out. Are you kidding me? Even Marriot doesn’t do that. The other boutique hotels we usually stay at across the street always gives us this as a courtesy due to young children. I was not impressed with the non family run feel of this place. The other boutique hotels feel more family run, like they are actually invested in customer service and not just making a buck off of every little thing. Why was there no tea bags in the drawers and only coffee? luckily I brought my own. Also, tried cooking and all kinds of spices there but the SALT spice was connolly empty and can tell salt had never even been in there. How are we to cook without basic spices like salt? and they said we couldn’t check in because they needed to make sure things were filled up…but clearly nothing was filled up. Not even bath soap or salt. And our room was supposed to hold 6 people? Make this make sense.

Awesome Positive: Its its quiet, close to pretty much everything. Walkable to St. Pete Pier, which i like cause parking can be difficult. They have a washer and a dryer with detergent that is free. Wifi is strong. Negative: The kitchen is a little small for 6 people,
